In the current climate of uncertainty surrounding travel, we want to take the time to write to you on behalf of everyone at Ibizazen to reassure you that our guests’ and team members’ wellbeing and safety is our utmost priority, now and always. When you visit us, you become part of our family.
We are closely monitoring the global and local situation and are actively taking steps to mitigate the impact and spread of COVID-19, otherwise known as the novel Coronavirus. We value the trust and loyalty invested in Ibizazen by all guests and we are working together to answer any queries regarding upcoming stays. In the spirit of transparency, we want to summarise some of the measures we are implementing at Ibizazen.
Safeguarding guests
Ibizazen continues to work with local health authorities while strictly adhering to advice from both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Since our founding 8 years ago our greatest priority is that our guests and team members feel safe and secure at our hotel. To ensure this, we have implemented the following measures:
• Our hotel will run on a 70% occupancy to ensure a more safe and even more exclusive surrounding. Our front-gate will be closed and the hotel will only be accessible upon request or appointment for non-guests.
• Everyone, including guests and team members, has easy access to our health station with handwipes, hygiene gel and temperature reader.
• All team members undergo temperature screening each day to ensure a healthy work environment, all staff practicing continuous hand washing (every 30 minutes), all staff will wear a face mask inside the hotel.
• All public areas, as well as the back-of-house, are regularly and thoroughly cleaned to the highest standards, paying special attention to high-touch areas such as door handles, etc.
• Front office will set up disinfecting processes to sanitise incoming luggage, boxes and supplies. Furthermore they have implemented a UVC sterilisation box to disinfect key cards, stationery and other high-touch objects. Upon check-in you can also request a complimentary disinfecting service for your mobile device.
• Contactless Greetings to ensure physical distancing, Ibizazen team members will rely on specific hand gestures, such as the traditional Thai wai greeting or the hand-over-heart gesture, and even the Vulcan salute popularised by Star Trek.
• Food and Beverage:
Tables and chairs arranged to allow healthy distancing
Menu board(s) and personal attention
A-la-carte breakfast only (no buffet)
• Guest Rooms:
All rooms disinfected and deep-cleaned between stays
All touch points (light switches, door handles, etc) regularly disinfected
All remote controls (AC, TV, etc) will be disinfected upon every check-out using a UVC sterilisation box
All sheets, towels, etc., will be cleaned by a professional washing-service, eg using special OZON treatments
All rooms will be provided with complimentary hand-gel for each staying guest
• Pool area
Pool beds cleaned daily
Pool towels cleaned at high temperature
Beds and furniture arranged to allow healthy distancing
• Ongoing training has been put in place to ensure team members are fully prepared to provide information and updates to our guests.
